“Jewelry is charged with so much power; it’s something you can put on and immediately feel different. And when pieces are made intentionally and consciously, they’re full of good energy and soul—turning an intrinsically charged talisman into something even more meaningful. Add personalized details on top of that…and you end up with a piece that’s more than just jewelry.

The GLDN you see today started with nothing but passion, purpose and about $50 in my pocket. The dream was to create custom jewelry that empowers and connects us—people to their stories and makers to their craft. I followed my instincts, stayed true to thoughtful practices and was lucky enough to find a team of incredible people who lead from love.

Since our humble Etsy beginnings, GLDN has organically grown into a collective of talented creators who’ve been telling your stories for over ten years now, and what a wonderful gift it has been.

We make it by hand.

One piece of jewelry = so many moving parts. From initial designs to final pieces, our talented makers craft 90% of our pieces in our La Conner, WA studio; the other 10% are made with the help of our partners who specialize in precise techniques (like setting tiny stones, for example!).

We empower craftworkers in the Pacific Northwest with living-wage jobs and benefits, donate 10% of our profits to charitable organizations and work with 90% domestically sourced, recycled materials. Conscious, ethical business is at our heart and we’re always looking for ways to get better, together.

We stand behind our work and want you to feel the same. We’re happy to rework or repair your pieces for free—up to six months for most items and up to three years for solid gold. We also offer free returns on all pieces (even personalized ones, which is pretty unheard of 😉).

Chrissy and our jewelry designers dream up and test new pieces 'til they're just right.

Sourcing

Then we source lasting, high-quality materials (only from suppliers who've been certified for following ethical practices).

Fabrication

Our tiny jewelry components are crafted by a specialized team and passed on to our makers.

Metalsmithing

Next, our master metalsmiths touch up and polish components, earrings and rings.

Stamping

Then each tiny character—from initials to symbols—is carefully aligned and hand-stamped to spotlight your story.

Assembly

All together now: a team of talented folks close jump rings, wrap wires and ensure every component is perfectly placed.

Packaging

Our dedicated team wraps each piece in gift-ready packaging (that's made by Chrissy's dad)!

Customer Care

This incredible group responds to all customer questions to ensure every piece delights you.

Branding

This team handles our marketing, social, community building and more—all the ways we bring GLDN to life.

Admin

100% of our diamonds are conflict-free

We only use lab-grown, ethically sourced diamonds—which are visually, physically and chemically identical to earth-mined diamonds—to ensure our jewelry doesn't contribute to displacement, conflict or corrupt mining practices. (AKA how diamonds should be!)

90% of our metals are recycled

Plus, 95% of our materials are sourced domestically and all are sourced ethically. We only work with suppliers who've been audited and certified for following ethical practices, prioritizing those from the Responsible Jewellery Council.

70% of pieces are made to order

This process creates almost zero waste; what's left is either sent to refinery to be reused or given a second life in a new piece! Even our packaging has been consciously created and 96% recyclable.

10% of our profits are donated

We're proud to support empowering organizations that help defend rights and freedoms, promote mental wellness, support the arts and more causes near and dear to us. (We even have special collections that donate 50-100% of profits!)
