Sterling Silver

Solid, precious metal that lasts forever. It darkens with time, but can be polished up. Oils from your skin help prevent silver tarnish... so wear it often!

Find a tool to use (string, dental floss, headphone cord, measuring tape if you have it).
Find the length by wrapping it around your neck and marking it (for pendants, imagine the jewelry lower, for suspended, it should be in line).
Check the length against a ruler or lay it out flat and measure with a phone app.

Alternatively: Measure an existing necklace end to end with a ruler (most accurate) or a phone app (great if you don’t have a ruler handy).

For both 14k gold fill and sterling silver herringbone chains, we recommend polishing the metal once per month to remove any tarnish and keeping your piece away from harsh cleansers and chlorine. Be sure to store this chain flat—the links may kink if bent sharply or hung for too long. For more detailed care tips, check out our journal!
