More premium than traditional gold plating, vermeil is an extra thick layer of real gold over solid sterling silver. We use 14k or 18k gold depending on the piece.

However, the actual studs are so small that the detailing is minimal—it barely looks like a skull, even up close.

I didn’t realize quite how small these were and as cute as they are, I wish they were just slightly bigger to make it more obvious what they are. But if you want to be very incognito with your skull earrings, they are great for that.
